| MTTT 1130-6 | PRINCIPLES OF MACHINING I This course consists of a series of activities and projects relevant to the principles of machining as applied to the machine tool manufacturing environment with conventional based technology. | MTTT 1230-6 | MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY (MILL I) This course will cover horizontal and vertical milling machines and attachments, cutters and processes, cutting speeds, feeds and depth of cut. Students will also be assigned mill projects that are designed around OJT (on-the-job training) principles related to horizontal and vertical milling. | MTTT 1240-6 | MEASUREMENT/INSPECTION,
GD&T This course deals with basic information about types, characteristics and symbols, datum references and relationships and feature control information of a part in terms of function, relationship to other mating parts and to design, production, measurement, precision inspection, assembly and operation. II This course will consist of calculations of angles and sides of right triangles, as relating to machine applications, oblique triangles, law of sines, law of cosines and compound angles. Prereq: MTTT 1299 |
| MTTT 1340-6 | VERTICAL MILL II The student will use the milling machine in a variety of operations such as milling, irregular-shaped surfaces, cutting gears and drilling, boring, reaming and slotting. These fundamentals of milling are designed around OJT. In this course, the student will be exposed to horizontal mills, special milling cutters and mill accessories. | MTTT 1350-6 | PRINCIPLES OF MACHINING II This course is a continuation of MTTT 12210. This is an independent directed study/lab course as applied to the principles of milling machines, shapers and their setup, and operations.
