On Friday, August 18, 2000, the Tennessee Technology Center at Paris' Student Council was host to a representative from the Air Evac Life Team. Marilyn Arcoli-Arcaroli spoke to the faculty, staff and student body regarding the benefits of becoming an Air Evac member.
Air Evac is a private air ambulance organization that was established in 1985 and now has over 60,000 members. The team consists of highly trained pilots, paramedics and registered nurses standing by 24 hours a day to provide rapid medical transport to those critically ill or injured. The program allows service to rural communitites that otherwise might not have access to air transport.
Air Evac members pay a small yearly fee which entitles them to emergency air transport with no out-of-pocket costs. A single emergency air flight can cost between $1,100 and $9,000. Even if you have insurance, many insurance companies provide less than full coverage or no coverage at all. With Air Evac, you will never be billed other than your yearly membership fee.
Any group, organization, or business in the Kentucky or Tennessee area may schedule a free presentation with no obligation. Call Marilyn at 1-270-748-7087. "Site memberships" are available for businesses at a greatly reduced cost.
