The Tennessee Technology Center at Paris is one of 46 institutions in the Tennessee Board of Regents system, the seventh largest system of higher education in the nation, enrolling approximately 182,000 students.

The Tennessee Board of Regents is the governing body for this system which is comprised of six universities, 14 community colleges/technical institutes, and 26 Technology Centers. The TBR system enrolls more than 80 percent of all Tennessee students attending public institutions of higher education. Of those Tennesseeans who are currently eligible for postsecondary education, 1 out of 15 attends a TBR school A TBR institution is located within 30 miles of every citizen in the state of Tennessee.
